Donna GreenfieldMS, FNP, CNM
Donna has resided in Mathews County her entire life. Prior to attending midwifery school, she practiced in various specialties. Her experience includes Medical-Surgical Intensive Care, Cardio-thoracic surgery, Hemodialysis, Emergency Medicine, and teaching. She is certified in Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics and is also an ACLS/BLS instructor.
Donna received a Diploma in Nursing from Riverside School of Professional Nursing in 1990. After working as a staff nurse for 10 years, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2000. She then returned to obtain a Master of Science Degree from Georgetown University in 2003 and a Post-Master’s certificate from Old Dominion University in 2005. Donna is Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and Golden Key International Honor Societies. In December of 2016, she was declared an Expert Witness in Virginia Circuit Courts as a Legal Nurse Consultant
She describes her two most memorable moments in midwifery as; delivering her youngest granddaughter in 2010 and delivering the biggest baby in the history of Langley Air Force Base weighing 13lbs 4ozs.
Donna enjoys spending time with her family and 10 pets (2 dogs, 4 cats, and 4 horses). Her hobbies include; horseback riding, motorcycle riding, dancing, camping at the beach, and entertaining friends.
